Grieving family forces doctors to kneel down, burn paper money offerings for their dead child

The family of a deceased child caused a bit of a scene at a hospital in Shenzhen yesterday, creating a makeshift memorial to their lost son and forcing doctors to pay their respects.

Upon receiving reports, police rushed to the hospital to find out what was going on. After investigation, they discovered that on Sunday, a 10-month-old boy named Wang Moujie had died of a serious lung infection inside the hospital, NetEase reports.
The day after, more than 10 family members returned to the hospital and set up a memorial to Wang on the floor. They then shoved medical workers over and forced them to burn some paper money offerings in the boy's memory.

Police charged 12 family members at the scene.

Along with judges, doctors have one of the most dangerous jobs in China, constantly at risk to be blamed for a patient's death by angry family members, who have been known to put the doctors themselves into the hospital.
In more extreme circumstances, doctors have even been splashed with gasoline and torched by their angry patients. After a string of similar incidents, along with their medical training, many doctors across China are now being trained in self-defense to protect themselves from their knife-wielding patients.
