LOOK: Giant hole opens up under pond, swallows 25 tons of fish overnight

 One unfortunate fish farmer in Guangxi went out to his pond early one morning last week to find that the Earth had ate all his fish.

The giant, oval-shaped sinkhole is around four to five meters in diameter and of an "unknown depth," People's Daily reports. In total it swallowed up some 25 tons of fish, so that it can do no more damage, a warning sign has been placed nearby.

Locals are blaming the sudden appearance of a bottomless abyss on a nearby rock quarry. Here are few pictures from just after it opened up, via Sina:
