WATCH: Middle school students gang up on their teacher after he tries to choke one classmate

Something is definitely going on in Chinese schools this week. A shocking video has gone viral on the Chinese internet showing a classroom brawl between a group of students and their teacher.
The video hit Chinese video-sharing sites yesterday evening. In the beginning, one student is seen refusing to hand over his exam paper to the teacher. The two exchange words and the teacher tries to end the argument by grabbing the kid around the neck.
However, the student doesn't take kindly to that and immediately goes on the counter-attack, with the help of his fellow classmates, who all rain down wild punches and slaps on the seemingly defenseless teacher.
But, it turns out that the teacher isn't about to back down to a bunch of middle school kids. Three times the kids stop fighting, and each time, the teacher steps forward to slap the original student in the face. The melee then continues.
All in all, it's about a minute of total classroom chaos, the student even grabs a wooden stool and tries to bash his teacher with that. One female student is seen bravely running forward to join the fray, and then retreats back giggling.
According to local news reports, the fracas occurred at a middle school in Bozhou city, Anhui province yesterday at around noon. A reporter visited the school and the principal confirmed that an incident had taken place. The local Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Education are investigating.

One thing is for certain, whoever took the video is going to get in some serious trouble, you aren't supposed to have your cell phones out in class.

While thousands of years of Confucian teaching have taught Chinese students to treat their teachers with respect, some students have been going off-book lately. Last month, two middle school students were filmed beating their teacher up in a back alley, putting him in the hospital.
