There are many ways to get famous on the Chinese
internet, you could eat corn on the cob with a power
drill or get your hair pulled out while eating
corn on the cob with a power drill, options are practically endless, but one
aspiring internet star went too far over the weekend when he ate a meal on the
subway. Gasp!
On Saturday, a couple of photos went viral on Chinese social
media showing a pair of friends enjoying a dinner of peanuts and hard-boiled
eggs inside a Line 4 carriage on the Guangzhou subway during rush hour.
After the photos went viral, netizens identified one of the diners as "Limouge," a host of a number of Chinese live-streaming sites, and most did approve of his latest venture.
"What a selfish online host. In your stunt, you show no concern for the other people that have to be on the train with you," commented one netizen on Weibo.
"No matter how disgusting, some people will do anything to get famous," wrote another.
Geez, good thing he didn't eat any bananas over dinner.
Anyway, the pair were quickly kicked off the
carriage by metro staff, because as we've learned time and time again, you can't eat inside the subway.
